Meet Rose

My name is Rose, and I was Almost Aborted before Roe v. Wade ever reached the Supreme Court. In 1961, my mom found out she was pregnant with me, her sixth child. Our family had little money and lived in a small apartment, and my mother was desperate. Her doctor told her he had a “solution” and proceeded to dose her with tons of methotrexate and a saline injection into the uterus. Despite his efforts, I survived and was born with a foot abnormality attributed to methotrexate. This is my Almost Aborted story.
