Tina's Story

Meet Tina

My name is Tina, and this is my pressured to abort story. When I was 20 weeks pregnant, my OB/GYN told me to abort my daughter because she might have Down Syndrome. At our 20-week ultrasound, the tech suddenly got quiet and started taking extra notes and images. The doctor promptly came in and told us that our daughter had two markers for Down Syndrome and strongly urged me to have an amniocentesis test done. We declined, knowing it wouldn’t change anything for us. But my doctor didn’t ease up. She became frustrated with me and then requested that I follow her into a private room, away from my husband, to sign a form acknowledging that I was not following her medical recommendationThis is my Pressured to Abort story.
